Over the summer the executive have been hard at work rewriting policies and procedures and building relationships external to the club to ensure that the South Morang Football Netball Club is run in a manner which is conducive to sustain long term success in a number of different areas. The work we have completed fits into four main categories; club administration and governance, the football environment, volunteer management and finally, community relationships.
On Friday I met with AFL Victoria who were extremely pleased with our progress, so much so that they’ve awarded our club ‘Quality Club’ Status in their Community Quality Club program, a level of achievement is only shared with 10 other clubs in the Northern Football Netball League. Over the next week you’ll see some of the work we’ve completed uploaded to the website, a range of policies outlining our commitment to a safe, healthy and inclusive club, and also our plans for the future.
This is only the beginning though, there’s a lot of work still to go in ensuring we meet the goals we’ve set and continue to raise the bar in providing a great club experience for everyone in our community.
If you have any suggestions on areas the club can improve upon, I’d love to have your input. Please feel free to contact me using any of the methods on our website.
